WildVision – Bobirwa eye project

The Bobirwa Eye Project took us to the eastern side of Botswana.

A quieter, less-travelled region with vast spaces and deep community ties.

Here, access to basic eye care remains limited, especially in remote school settings.

We worked closely with the Mashatu Safari team to screen children’s eyes across several primary schools.

Some schools were in extremely remote areas, reached only by long drives and local guidance.

Local clinics and dedicated teachers supported the process, helping us reach as many children as possible.

The landscape left a lasting impression.

Ancient baobab trees stood over the journey, silent and powerful.

As always, the children were incredible—curious, patient, and full of life.

Moments like these remind you that clear vision is not a luxury, but a foundation for learning, confidence, and opportunity.
